Biography:

WASSILY KANDINSKY, Russian (1863-1944) born in Moscow, painter, teacher & writer, he studied law & political economy at the University of Moscow.

In 1895 after a visit to a French exhibition in Moscow, he decided to become a painter, he Moved to Munich Germany & worked under Anton Azbé and Franz von Stuck, studying impressionist & became an instrumental force in German art, developing his ideas in geometric forms, he changed the history of art of the 20th century. 

In 1909 Kandinsky helped found the New Artists' Association in Munich then he moved to a Parisian suburb, where he stayed until his death on Dec.13, 1944.
